History

Clinic Dermatech was founded in Defence Colony, New Delhi. Its founders had studied technology-driven cosmetic dermatology practices in the US, UK, and Southeast Asia, and saw that most Indian clinics at the time stretched a single multi-specialty machine across all procedures. From day one, the model was built around dedicating specific equipment to specific treatments.

Over 20+ years, the company grew from that single clinic to 22 locations, expanding first across Delhi NCR and then to Tier 1 cities nationwide. Along the way, it launched two additional brands: CD Lush (the luxury treatment arm) and CIEL Skincare (a direct-to-consumer product line). As of FY2025, services account for roughly 90% of revenue, with CIEL product sales making up the rest.

21 of the 22 clinics are company-owned. The one exception is a legacy franchise in Agra. Clinic Dermatech does not actively franchise, preferring to keep direct control over equipment standards, treatment protocols, and the customer experience at every location.

Frequently asked questions

About Clinic Dermatech

When was Clinic Dermatech founded?
Clinic Dermatech was founded in Defence Colony, New Delhi, and has been operating for over 20 years. The company was established after its founders observed technology-driven dermatology models in the US, UK, and Southeast Asia, and identified a gap in the Indian market for clinics with dedicated equipment for each procedure type.
How many Clinic Dermatech clinics are there?
As of 2026, Clinic Dermatech operates 22 clinics across 13 Indian cities. The highest concentration is in Delhi NCR (13 locations), with additional clinics in Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Lucknow, Agra, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. 21 clinics are company-owned; the Agra clinic is a legacy franchise. The company does not actively franchise.
What treatments does Clinic Dermatech offer?
Six categories of treatments: Laser Hair Reduction (using USFDA-approved Triple Wave Technology), Skin Care (peels, IPL, laser toning), Anti-Ageing (Botox, fillers, thread facelift, RoboDerma, medi-facials), Hair Restoration (PRP, GFC, stem cell therapy, hair transplant), Body Shaping (cryosculpting, EMShape, CD Tone & Tighten), and Aesthetic Surgery (facelift, liposuction, breast procedures, mommy makeover).
What is the connection between Clinic Dermatech and CIEL Skincare?
CIEL Skincare is a direct-to-consumer skincare product line created by Clinic Dermatech. The products are PETA-certified vegan and cruelty-free, with prices ranging from Rs 390 to Rs 2,300. CIEL is sold on Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Myntra, Tata CLiQ, and through its own website at cielskincare.com.
What is CD Lush and how is it different from Clinic Dermatech?
CD Lush is the luxury treatment arm of Clinic Dermatech, operating from two locations (Starling Edge Mall, Noida and Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi). While Clinic Dermatech offers the same core treatments at all 22 locations, CD Lush adds services like IV drip therapy and custom treatment protocols, delivered in private rooms. It is designed for clients who want a more personalised, unhurried setting.
What is Clinic Dermatech's customer satisfaction rating?
Clinic Dermatech holds a 4.8/5 Google rating across its locations and reports 95%+ client satisfaction. The company has served over 3 lakh (300,000+) customers over 20+ years, completing more than 3.5 million treatment sessions.
Does Clinic Dermatech franchise?
Not actively. 21 of the 22 clinics are company-owned. The one exception is a legacy franchise in Agra that predates the company's current policy. Clinic Dermatech does not offer new franchise opportunities, preferring to retain direct control over equipment standards, treatment quality, and customer experience.
What equipment does Clinic Dermatech use?
Clinic Dermatech uses USFDA-approved laser systems, including Triple Wave diode lasers for hair reduction. Each machine is dedicated to a specific treatment type rather than being shared across procedures. This dedicated-equipment approach was the reason the company was started in the first place, based on what the founders had seen working in international clinics.
How much do skin treatments cost at Clinic Dermatech?
Costs vary by treatment type, number of sessions, and the area being treated. At Clinic Dermatech, the average transaction value is around Rs 40,000. A single medi-facial session costs less than a full course of laser hair reduction, for example. During your consultation, the dermatologist lays out a treatment plan with transparent pricing before you proceed.
What should I expect at my first consultation?
Your first consultation involves a skin or scalp assessment by a qualified dermatologist, a discussion of your concerns and goals, and a recommended treatment plan with expected timelines and number of sessions. It helps to bring a list of any skincare products you currently use and any medications you are on. Before you commit to anything, the dermatologist will walk you through potential side effects and aftercare.

Laser hair reduction

How many sessions of laser hair removal are needed?
Most people need 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Clinic Dermatech uses USFDA-approved Triple Wave diode laser technology, which works across different hair types and skin tones. Indian hair tends to be coarser and denser, so some clients may need additional maintenance sessions. Results are visible from the third or fourth session onward.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser hair removal produces long-term hair reduction, not complete permanent removal. After a full course of sessions, most clients see 80-90% reduction in hair growth. Any hair that does grow back tends to be finer and lighter. Occasional maintenance sessions (once or twice a year) can keep results consistent.
Is laser hair removal safe for Indian skin?
Yes, when performed with the right equipment. Indian skin (Fitzpatrick types III-V) requires lasers calibrated for darker skin tones to avoid burns or hyperpigmentation. Clinic Dermatech uses USFDA-approved Triple Wave Technology specifically suited for the range of Indian skin tones. The clinic has completed over 3.5 million treatment sessions across its 20+ year history.
Is laser hair removal painful?
Most clients describe it as less painful than waxing. The sensation is often compared to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Modern diode lasers, like the Triple Wave systems used at Clinic Dermatech, have built-in cooling mechanisms that reduce discomfort during the session. There is no downtime; most people return to normal activity the same day.

Hair restoration

What is PRP hair treatment and how many sessions does it require?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy uses a concentrated portion of your own blood, rich in growth factors, injected into the scalp to stimulate hair follicles. A typical course at Clinic Dermatech involves 4 to 6 sessions, spaced about a month apart. Visible improvement usually appears after 3 months. PRP is not a permanent fix for hair loss; maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months help sustain results.
What is the difference between PRP and hair transplant?
PRP is a non-surgical treatment that works best for early-stage hair thinning by strengthening existing follicles. Hair transplant is a surgical procedure that relocates hair follicles from a donor area to balding spots, and is suited for more advanced hair loss. Clinic Dermatech offers both, along with other options like GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) and Stem Cell Hair-Regain. The right approach depends on the stage of hair loss, which is assessed during consultation.

Anti-ageing treatments

How does Botox work and how long do results last?
Botox temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that cause expression lines (forehead creases, frown lines, crow's feet). The injection takes about 15 to 20 minutes, with results appearing within 3 to 7 days. Effects typically last 3 to 6 months depending on the treatment area and individual muscle activity. Clinic Dermatech has been recognised by Allergan (the maker of Botox) for performing the highest number of Botox and filler procedures.
What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Botox relaxes muscles to smooth out dynamic wrinkles (lines caused by facial movement). Dermal fillers add volume beneath the skin to fill in static wrinkles, hollow areas, or to contour features like lips and cheeks. Fillers typically last 9 months to 2 years depending on the product and area treated. Both can be combined for a more complete result, which is something Clinic Dermatech's dermatologists assess on a case-by-case basis.
What is RoboDerma?
RoboDerma is a robotic micro-needling treatment available at Clinic Dermatech. It uses automated micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, combined with targeted serum infusion. This stimulates collagen production and allows active ingredients to penetrate deeper than topical application alone. It is used for anti-ageing, acne scarring, skin texture improvement, and pigmentation correction.

Skin treatments

Are chemical peels safe for Indian skin?
Yes, when performed by a qualified dermatologist using the right type and concentration. Indian skin (darker Fitzpatrick types) responds well to mandelic acid and glycolic acid peels at appropriate strengths, but carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation if the peel is too aggressive or aftercare instructions are not followed. A typical course involves 4 to 6 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Clinic Dermatech's dermatologists select peel type and strength based on individual skin assessment.
What is the difference between a medi-facial and a regular facial?
A regular facial at a salon focuses on cleansing, exfoliation, and relaxation. A medi-facial is performed at a clinic under dermatologist supervision and uses clinical-grade products and devices (like LED therapy, microcurrents, or enzyme masks) to target specific concerns such as pigmentation, acne, or fine lines. Results from a medi-facial tend to be more noticeable and longer-lasting. Clinic Dermatech offers medi-facials as part of its skin care and anti-ageing treatment categories.

Body shaping

Does non-surgical body contouring actually work?
Yes, but with realistic expectations. Non-surgical body contouring (cryosculpting, EMShape, radiofrequency) reduces targeted fat pockets and tightens skin. It is not a weight-loss procedure. Most clients notice 2 to 4 cm of inch loss in treated areas over 2 to 4 sessions. Results develop gradually over 4 to 8 weeks as the body processes the treated fat cells. Clinic Dermatech offers several non-surgical options including its proprietary CD Tone & Tighten protocol, cryosculpting, and EMShape.

Choosing a skin clinic

What should I look for when choosing a skin clinic in India?
Look at four things: the doctor's qualifications (MBBS plus a postgraduate degree in dermatology such as MD, DVD, or DDVL), the equipment being used (USFDA or CE-approved devices are the standard to look for), the clinic's hygiene and sterilisation protocols, and verified patient reviews on Google or Practo. A well-run clinic will be transparent about the technology it uses and will set realistic expectations during consultation. Clinic Dermatech uses USFDA-approved equipment, employs qualified dermatologists, and holds a 4.8/5 Google rating across its 22 locations.
Why does the type of laser equipment matter?
Different lasers work differently on different skin types. Using the wrong laser on Indian skin, for instance, can cause burns, scarring, or hyperpigmentation. USFDA-approved devices have passed safety and efficacy testing. Beyond the device itself, how a clinic maintains and calibrates its equipment matters too. Clinic Dermatech's founding model was based on dedicating specific machines to specific procedures, rather than stretching one multi-specialty device across all treatments. This means the equipment is configured and maintained for one job.
